Provided transportation to the MO state fair grounds horse auction to a group of Amish men. Left at 3:00 am arrived at 7:00 am. It was 23 degrees but tried hunting and I'm not that tough anymore. Took a nap and hunted again after it warmed up to 38 degrees. Found 3 quarters, 5 dimes, and 9 pennies. A lookie loo stopped and told me that a guy comes every year the day after the carnival rides all leave, and he cleans up big time, so don't expect to find much. He left, I find a dime, then 6 inches away I find a quarter, I was hunting in front of the beer garden. The guy did not get it all. Living the dream, Webekin

I had been thinking year ago about getting a wand and going digging, talked to a few of the locals actually in a club here in central MO. Pretty much all public areas are considered territories and the regulars just eat 'em up, noobs get squat and not a lit of tips or help. Pretty closed society it seemed. Areas like the fairgrounds and county fair areas area picked over in stages, old timers get first dibs, younger ones get the slim pickins. Never did get involved, got disabled!
Rest in Peace

They say a good old area to hunt is never really cleaned out . there will always be goodies in those grounds that were never previously detected .

There has to be IH's if the grounds has any age. Walkers masked by iron... Canadian silver.
Think outside the box. Good luck, good finds.
When I listen to LED ZEPPELIN...so do my neighbors...
Roll hunting since '77
Dirt fishing since '72
