I'm trying to find out a bit more about the 1709 1/2 thaler,Salzburg,Franz Anton von Harrach as my research didn't brought enough info.I couldn't spot it in the Krause catalogue so I have no clue about the coin's value or mintage, but I believe it's rare. Also only a few sold in the past, most of them by Kunker. The one in the picture was sold in the Frühwald auction, september 2017.Any extra details would be appreciated.

Zohar444 Thank you for your input! If I'm not wrong your article presents the 1/2 thaler,Johann Ernst von Thun,1687-1708 which indeed is common. The 1709 of Franz Anton has a completely different reverse!

I don't have any reference materials, have just poked around on Krause and CoinArchives, which it sounds like you've done too. It looks like 1/4 (KM294), 1/2 and 1 Thalers (KM295) were issued in 1709 before a major redesign. Krause lists the 1/4 and the thaler as rare. Looking at the (admittedly small) populations out on CoinArchives, one would conclude that very nice examples of the Johann Ernst half thalers can be had for about 300 euros, whereas the single example of Franz Anton commanded 500 euro, perhaps making it the least rare of those 1709 issues, though still scarcer than the Johan Ernst (but that was probably your guess anyhow?).

tdziemia The only reference I could find is Zöttl 2430 and that's about it.Around 4 past sales of the type resulted from my research, one for 350 euros(unsold),one for 400 ,500 sold and another holed piece with a starting price of 150 euros.Obviously the type is not of great rarity but not being able to find it in the krause made me want to find out more.Thank you for your research!
