It's bullion (rather than proof) so the flip is fine for now, although the tape is a little distracting. You could do a 2x2 for minimal protection -- maybe an air-tite if you want, doesn't seem necessary for bullion.

Thanks Alpha2814. I may try a 2x2, then keep it in a safe.

Yes, the tape is just temporary on that plastic container. I wanted to show how the coin was delivered, once I got it out of the bubble wrap envelope, the inner envelope, and the FedEx mailing box. The piece was well packaged.

Congrats on the platinum Eagle! Nobody seems to be in a big hurry to buy platinum while it's cheaper than gold, but in the long run I think it makes sense. I'm currently at about a 2:1 Au to Pt ratio...most people would consider that very Pt heavy.

While they may just be "bullion" coins, mine all get properly sized direct fit Air-Tites. At around $1300 a pop in Canadian dollars, 50 cents for a proper capsule seems reasonable!
