Another part of the collection hunt I did last night. he owner of these coins wants to know if there is anything valueable so I grabbed all the silver and a couple other interesting coins. Also made a post in U.S. Grading, World Coin Grading, and will be making one for two Mexican Bank Notes.
That's the 1947 Straight Seven Variety. All the discoloration takes away from any eye appeal, but I would grade it around EF-40. Maybe an acetone bath would help with the appearance.
Right on yeah the details do look pretty good. What do you guys all think about washing it? I've heard fom some people say it's not a good idea. Does it lower the value?
