Well, there is my one new thing learned today I have seen the one for the Bald Eagle program but I was not aware of all the issues from the 90s.

I'm even more amazed that the dog is still alive, he must be over a hundred in dog years.

Although its good the see the new hires from the artist infusion program working on new items.

So did anyone else see this artical in Coin World? Does anyone think these are sleeping giants or was this a push to buy these sets...? Most of these sets are Silver Half Dollars, but the Smithsonian is a Proof Silver Dollar and the Black Revolutionary War Patriots is a Unc Silver Dollar....Wonder why they did Dollars for those two sets....

1993 Bill of Rights is the only silver half, the others are clad

Neither of those commem programs had a half dollar so I imagine that they were included in the "Young Collector" series because of the educational value. Obviously, some of the commem programs are more educational than others
They are listed in the 2009 RedBook pg325. The Olympic swimming and soccer are crazy expensive since the total mintage for each coin was ~50,000

Well I'll be dang !!...
That IS interesting......I was only aware of this years "young collector" stuff too !
So, should we all just buy EVERYTHING that comes down the pike, so that we'll ensure ourselves to be lucky one of these years with something that turns out to be special that we wouldn't have thought so at the time ?....hummmm?......Did anybody get this years "young collector" stuff ?
