Coinvirgin Valued Member United States 123 Posts	Posted 03/24/2018 12:50 am Coinvirgin is wondering if this is a die crack? I have other coins with die cracks but they are copper. The zinc coins are different in appearance in so many ways, I don't know what to expect? So what's the verdict? Report this Post to the Staff

Crazyb0 Rest in Peace 10197 Posts	Posted 03/24/2018 12:59 am with David, a Linear Plating Bubble under the copper plating. Something was on the blank when it was plated prior to upsetting (making the raised edge and preparation of the Planchet). It could have been a hair, fiber, or liquid that got on the zinc core, this then started the zinc corrosion effect and gasses to form under the copper.
