Doing fine...

Generally people tell us a little bit about themselves or how they got into collecting or what they like. Nothing too crazy personal because this is after all an era where one has to worry about what one posts.

I live off the main highway just outside of the small little town - it's the first blue house on the right and I just got my 10,000th oz of gold. The sign says beware of dog. About that she's actually a Great Dane and more likely to lick a burglar to death then actually keep them out of the house

I love the image the walking liberty so I collect them and the American silver eagles. Living in South Jersey I keep trying the various Banks hoping to find some in rolls

I am new to this forum. Have been a collector since 1961 when I started with U.S. coins from circulation. That collection is long gone. Currently, I collect coins and tokens produced by the the Soho Mint and have been doing so since 2009. The history behind these pieces is amazing. Matthew Boulton and James Watt collaborated in a pioneering venture to produce the first coins struck under power. A precedent for all modern coinage. So far, assembling this collection has been quite a challenge because there is no definitive work on the subject. Information has come from a variety of places including English coin dealers, a few books outlining the history of this mint and a doctoral thesis that actually contained a history and a pretty detailed listing of various strikings. Looking forward to meeting you all. Thanks.
