I collected foreign coins as a kid just for fun, finally starting to really look at them and organize looking for any general info about these and maybe a reference of value. thanks for any help.

Welcome to CCF!

For value your best bet is the Spink Yearbook "Coins of England" which you can buy from Amazon, or alternatively search on ebay (but remember to look at Sold prices as there are always a lot of overly hopeful sellers with crazy BIN prices).

For much more info on identification of Farthings and the fractionals I recommend: http://aboutfarthings.co.uk/catalog...g-varieties/

which is the most up to date source on new varieties identified. Have fun!

I've found that Tony Clayton's 'Coins of the UK' provides valuable information. This link will take you to the feature on fractional farthings and I'm sure you will be able to successfully navigate his web site for more information on farthings and other coins!

Good luck!
