Foreign-Token?
Foreign-Token?

I presented this in the world coin suggestion but no one knew what it was. Sap suggested that it might be a token. Has anyone seen one of these before or does anyone know what it is?

Im not an expert of these type of coins. But I will say that there are alot of counterfeits running around that look like that. When I mean like that I mean with the hole in it not the wording. I cant read Chinese so I cant help with that lol. I need to read alot of fortune cookies to maybe read one letter. Now I'm hungry for Chinese.

Do you know the KM# and year? Someone mentioned that they thought it had both Chinese and Japanese characters on it.

Arthrene's original thread with this coin is here. Thanks to echizento's insistence I searched zeno.ru and found this entry, which identifies it and gives the KM/Y number: China-Empire, 1 cash, undated by known to have been struck in 1909. KM/Y# 25. CV $2 in VF. I was thrown out by the picture in my Krause, which doesn't show the hole - it looks like a solid coin, and I was looking for small coins with holes.
