1946 only 800,000 minted

Design detail appears soft.

Could be because
pictures a bit out of focus
wear, or
both.

Pictures suggest VF (British grading)

Still very much a keeper.

Even for American standards I would grade it VF. Nice pick up, or actually I guess pick out of some bulk. I do this often myself and have found a few nice ones.

The example on ebay must be reasonably close to MS65, so price justifiable.

Really cool find!

As for using ebay for market value, I always look at actual sales. The only MS-65 example that sold recently went for $90. Highest sale price for a circulated example was $9.

But I suppose even that would probably cover the whole lot you bought!
