Got this one in a CNG lot, no attribution. I thought it was Phraates IV, but I can't find a match online. Parthia, AE Chalkous? (About 1g / 12mm) Bearded bust left, wearing diadem Female figure standing left, holding scales? Aequitas? Moneta? No, that doesn't seem right.... Any ideas?

Thanks, Bob!
How'd you find that second one? It's not on the main page for Phraates IV.
From what I've read, this coin is likely very rare, which doesn't matter because nobody collects Parthian bronzes?

Here's another: http://www.parthia.com/coins/pdc_40062.jpgNo big trick to finding specimens once you know the Sellwood reference...just Google search, with the quotation marks, on "Sellwood (insert number here)". Come now, surely someone must collect these things. Btw, of the Sellwood 52.41's I've spotted, yours is certainly the best of the bunch. No way of knowing for sure, but it's not inconceivable that it may qualify as best of type among all extant examples.

Have one with a similar reverse (no head - very worn) from Charax Spasinou. It has an inscription that begins A T T, so I assume it is one Attembelos or another.

Welcome, Shulgi. Sounds like you may have an issue from Characene, which is an area we rarely, if ever, see on this board. I hope you'll post some pictures.

Great coin Steve! Congrats. I had a parthian bronze which I sold to a local dealer who personally collects parthian bronzes I believe it was mithridates II with an elephant and three lines saying "Basilius Megalous" on the back. The coin was so small and to be honest bronze coin in general do not pick my interest as much as silver so I sold it and got nice Phraates V tetradrachm. I will post its pic tonight.

By the way this coin has some nostalgic connection to it for me. When I was a child I visited a museum in my home town and it had a bust of Queen Musa. I clearly remember the bust in my memories and always wanted to have a tangible item that came from the time of Queen Musa and when I got this coin It is actually from her son Phraates V or Phraateces.
