Photos taken in coin flip. It looks like it's clipped but I'm not sure if it's legit or PMD...I'm new to US coins.
TIA

That is 100% PMD. The denticles along and leading to the "clip" are unaffected (they should be on a genuine clip) and there is no Blakesley Effect visible.

I'm not so sure spruett001. Remember, a strong strike will raise the oppisite rim leaving no sign of the Blakesley Effect. More common on smaller clips but does occasionally happen on larger ones. In my honest opinion I beleive it is a genuine clip.

I'm no pro, but the clip looks to flat across to me. Every Clipped Planchet error I have ever seen had more of an arc in the clip. Am I wrong in my thinking here?

There are "straight" clips, and most if not all have no Blakesley effect. I think the pros are going to want to see the edge.

you need to provide a photo of the side of the coin , at the mark in question, outside of the flip.

No doubt, this is post mint damage. There will be weak stretched design elements adjacent to an actual clip and the OP's coin does not show that. This is one of my stait clips.

Remove the coin from the flip and take photos of the side of the coin where the planchet is clipped.

And another. Note how the rim is is weak as it goes away from the clip and towards the center of tje coin on both of my examples .
