While roll searching I found this unusual 1972 P LMC that appears to be brass. It weighs 3.02 g and is not plated and is not attracted to a magnet. Too much tin and zinc in the alloy mix? Perhaps a wrong year planchet? I have seen really yellow cents from the teens through the 50's but this is the first one from the 70's. For comparisons sake I am adding a pic of a normal toned 1972 P LMC. They both weigh 3.02 g's. These pictures do not do the brightness of this cent justice. Insight please.

Looks to be environmentally damaged. Also cents between 1963 and 1982 had no tin in them, so technically they were all made of brass.
Rest in Peace

Environmental change in tone most probable for color differentiation.

Thanks guys! I'll keep it just the same and maybe one day give it to my grandson and tell him it's a "Lucky Golden" Lincoln!
