Hi! First off, What you have here is a regular 1968 clad quarter. It is not made of silver, but instead of copper and nickel. His head is more pronounced than newer quarters because the mint struck the coins with 'high relief' back then.

It looks like a normal, circulated 1968 quarter to me. Can you see a copper color on the edge?
