1974 Quarter Spitting Eagle/Broken Wing

Har_D New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 04/04/2018 11:44 pm I just recently started sorting through my spare change. Today I came across a 1974 Quarter with a "Spitting Eagle. Notice how it extends down through left wing. Also,zero notice the weird cuts in the UNItried to take several pictures to evaluate. John1 Moderator United States 56855 Posts	Posted 04/05/2018 05:21 am to CCF. It is actually the eagles right wing. It looks like a scratch to me. A spitting eagle is a die crack not a scratch. If it is raised it is a die crack, and if incuse it would be a scratch. I see nothing on UNITED and I don't know what you are seeing with the obverse photos. John1 Report this Post to the Staff
