Older examples are made of silver, but most of the ones you see around (such as this one) are base-metal. It has numerals which resemble a date, but are usually just a random collection of numbers with no correlation to an actual date. The numbers on your token are "47340". They are often discoloured; I'm told the reason is that one of the rituals these tokens are used for is a "feeding the gods", in which food paste of various kinds is smeared onto the surface of these tokens. Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis Report this Post to the Staff
