Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could share their opinion on this interesting ridge that seems to be along the top of the letters of Liberty only. Just wondering what might cause this? I think its just damage but I thought it looked pretty interesting so I wanted to share.

Welcome BaconPeach..

Thanks for sharing your find.

I think it's PMD, or Post Mint Damage.. which means that it is a damage, and occurred after it left the Mint.

Wow, somebody asked the same question yesterday, about a very similar coin.

Oh, I'm sorry - I should have searched more before posting, my coin looks almost identical to that one. Thanks for linking.

BP, no apology necessary. I don't think anyone expects you to read every post. You can tell your coin is damaged, because the area is recessed in the coin. It's been scratched. Most mint errors are raised.
