1984 D Doubled Die Obverse / DDO FS-101 Lincoln Cent (Finally!)

luvmyCAM Pillar of the Community United States 1479 Posts	Posted 04/13/2018 9:20 pm Hello all. Finally popped the 84-D FS-101 out of a $25.00 brick tonight. This thing has given me fits finding one in the wild. I passed on an MS64 in 2016 that hammered at a couple hundred and couldn't stomach $450.00 from a certain nationwide dealer for their MMS64so patientence has paid off. Pics are best I can get with Walmart scope (20×) but all the pups are there. Note the bottom of the vest. Not particularly dramatic doubling but what makes it a cherry is all the doubling and thickness all over the front. Should go AU in a holder 53-55. All the green, dings, pits etc are exaggerated by my cheap scope, this one will go problem free. Bats, got that 66 FS-101 ready for shipping yet? Aaaahhh. Report this Post to the Staff

It's like they put that die on at the end of the year right before they switched over to 1985 and only made a small number of them.
