Hello all. I'm a coin collector from Finland. I already have a bit more than 30.000 different coins when counting all different types and years. Now my main interest is Chinese cash coins and that is not an easy task.

olliesaarinen: to the CCF! Your collection is more than 10 times the size of mine! Many decades ago, I started collecting Chinese cash coins, but I had no idea what I was collecting. I acquired a huge number of them from a dealer's junk box for 10 cents each, trying to get as many different types as possible. They remained a mystery to me for 10 years or so, because I had no means of identifying them. I was lucky enough to get a copy of Schjoth, as a throw away book from a library, because no-one borrowed it. That set me to work. Now, I have discovered I have cash coins covering all of the main dynasties and most of teh Emperors, covering the last 2,200 years. I have about 300 Chinese cash coins. All of them are now fully identified and written up on the 2x2 which holds each coin. The whole collection, complete with the copy of Schjoth, cost me less than $50. Now. scarce Chinese cash coins are quite often valued at $20 or more. There are a few experienced collectors of World coins here in the CCF, who have a lot more knowledge than myself, and by their posts, my learning curve is still as steep as it was 10 years ago.

Thank you, thank you and thank you. I have bought some Cash books: Hartill China, Japan and Korea, Fisher's Ding, Northern Song cash variety guide plus few other to help me to identify my cash coins and I'm a member of some Communities, which have given me valuable information on cash coins. So I'm happy to be here.
