Ive searched ebay and have certainly seen some crazy toned Morgans, certified in slabs, many I would of never believed were natural. this Morgan here has always stumped me? I got from reputable coin shop near me, their coins are always marked/labeled cleaned or artificially toned and this one was not. the dealer did not seem to know for sure. it certainly has a bright pin wheel? it weighs 26.9 grams. only place thats not toned is her cheeks face & neck area.even if shes artificially toned I think I will keep her.like to know if folks think its artificial or natural? reverse reminds me of toned American eagles Ive seen at coin shows? I may have this in the wrong forum topic?

I'd label that as very questionable toning.
It may be natural, but I wouldn't pay for it.

well how dare you! lol just kidding, I did pay $50 for it and thought it stood out from my other 1921s. hard to believe in 3 more years the 1921s will turn 100. I tried looking for similar toned and couldn't find any.so perhaps AT? thanks for your input!

Looks a bit like one of the "Northern Lights" collection dollars.

The color doesn't look right IMO. I'm leaning toward AT for this one.

Appreciate all the input and any future ones, and thanks for the keywords "nfine " northern lights.. found other odd and similar ones. here are few more pics, in case someone wants to give their input on AT or NT. The toning on the obverse has not reached the coins high points, namely her cheek upper lip eye, neck and hair bun. Thanks so much!

questionable toning for sure.. there is no rhyme or reason for the pattern I am seeing.. I would vote artificial.,

Intentionally toned and not market acceptable. Best study this website if you wish to continue purchasing toned Morgan dollars...http://www.jhonecash.com/coins/tonedmorgans.asp
