I found this in a circulated bankroll from a bank box of U.S. Pennies. I noticed this one had a huge Struck Through on the reverse. I looked at it with my scope and it's genuine.

Looks legit to me and a nice one! Any idea what it was struck through?

Neat "struck-on" David! That is a piece of debris that had become imbedded in the die from a previous strike that popped out and became smashed and adhered to your coin. How you tell is notice the lower impression of the N and E on that chunk of metal...previous hit effect. That is a one of a kind! Be an interesting "die chip" on the next few coins, wouldn't it!

Thank you Spruett and Crazyb0! Crazyb0, that explanation was very informative and helpful. It would be interesting to see how big the Die Chip was after the embedded debris fell out.
