Question Concerning Zinc Lincoln Cent Weights.

If you have a cent that shows virtually no sign of wear and no gas bubbles at what weight would you would consider that cent underweight? Report this Post to the Staff

Crazyb0 Rest in Peace 10197 Posts	Posted 04/24/2018 1:23 pm It seems the mint"tolerances" are a suggestion more than law. I have found 2.0-3.0 to be the range found, so say +/-.5g. The extrusion technology must plate any width zinc plate, copper plating remains relatively standard. If you could accurately halve the coin and measure in microns, that would further indicate the variances. Any Einstein's wanna take a crack at this?
