Let me see if I have my math correct.

Zero feedback seller + 1930 penny + blurry picture + ebay = big trouble.

Yep math is correct.

I got the same answer, we must have had the same teacher.

farnbycoins that is a great link. I learned quite a bit about a coin I will probably never own. Knowledgeable posters sharing their learning and experience is what makes CCF a fantastic resource

I figure if someone like Peter can take the time to study and make informative sites, then it's the least we can all do to send any interested parties to the right source.
Many collectors and enthusiasts have helped me big time over my 6 years in this hobby, and I like to return the favour by helping others where my limited knowledge permits.

On the flip side, the coin maybe for real. Someone has inherited a bunch of 'old coins' from Grandad and just has no idea!

BUT as Farby said, if it was me putting my hand THAT deep into my pockets, I'd be asking for Letters from Respected Dealers (and I'd be supplying a list of what I considered Respected) and MUCH better photo's! And as for selling it on ebay, ARE THEY MAD? I would have gone straight to Downies or something like that and talked about Auctioning the coin!

But who knows, someone may have just picked up a Bargain!
