1884 - O Morgan / Something Special?

I have recently acquired this 1884 O Morgan silver dollar. You can clearly see in the pictures that the mint mark does not appear to be struck properly as the O is completely filled in. I have done research on this and I can come up with nothing... Any help would be Appreciated.
