Are the 1911 Lord & Lady Gray and 1917 Princess Patricia $1 notes similar size as the 1923 $1 issue or are they similar size to the Bank of Canada issues?

1911 (Lord & lady Gray) and 1917 (Princess Patricia) $1.00 notes are the much larger Dominion of Canada issue (sometimes referred to as "horse blankets" for their size). The first BOC issues started in 1935, and in an effort to save money, were reduced to 6 X 2 7/8 inches.

- yes -it's a nice amusing slang term which considering their size is probably suitable. See image below of the 2 notes supper-imposed (back of 1937 BOC $1 over a 1923 DOC $1
