I think that one will be Toonces the Driving Cat edition...

RCM soldout 20 minutes after the mail has been sent to the MC members.
This is super fast, imo. For this coin, useless to check POs, cause they will even not bother to order expensive coins. Is RCM "on the wave" now, continuously minting hit after super hit?
Who knows it might aftermarket for 5000 bucks, without even pictures hard to blind faith an order, the sculptor coins all are duds, this might fall into the Franklin mint category however nice this unit is.
I was slow in ordering and after I did my rep said they were gone. Am on waiting list, lol. If you were acknowledged then you will probably get the coin imo.
Quote: Someone mentioned here and on other resource, that the less priced coins have the "room" to grow up, compares to already expensive ones.
Comparing the Carousel coin to the UFO coin is like comparing apples and oranges. The UFO started at a low price point of $130 vs an expensive price point of $750 for the carousel.
For the Carousel coin to achieve the success of the UFO coin, you would have to use a 6x multiple effort. That would mean the Carousel coin has to sell for $4500 to $5000 to match the success of the UFO coin.
Now what are the chances that the new coin sell for $4500-5000 in the future? I say zero chance the price will reach such astronomical levels based on past coin performances. The only NCLT coin I know in the price range of the Carousel coin, $750, to ever reach 2x or more issue price is the 2013 Gold Superman coin. To my knowledge, there is no other NCLT coin or set at such a high price point ever reaching double or triple issue price.
Another factor to consider is this possibly be a commissioned coin. Perhaps this why it sold out so fast because the RCM had a low allotment of the coin.

The advance notice to MC from reps seems to imply that the RCM itself was working on this unit alone for about two years and with limited mintage one wouldn't expect this to be a commissioned coin. A 1000 MC were willing to take a 750 buck flyer on this unit, surely however nice it maybe, there is no way it resembles a coin.
I doubt that 1000 MC member bought all 1000 coins in 20 minutes because dealers get an allocation of the coin. Its anyone's guess what the allocation between the RCM and its dealers but dealers always get a share of the coins. We saw that with last year's expensive 1867-2017 Puzzle Coin set, at a lower mintage of 800, sold out rapidly at the RCM but was available at other dealers.
Again, it is possible the allocation of coins available for MC members is relatively small, for whatever reason, that accounted for the quick sell out. Perhaps the MC reps ran out of their allotment, or the RCM held back some of the coins. But I am 100% sure the entire allocation of 1000 coins did not all go to MC members because this is not a member exclusive coin.
The RCM does do things in strange and mysterious ways, never had a rep send out a notice like this one hyping the manufacturing and low mintage and the hard sell of buy it now or it's all gone with no pictures. Guess we all will know on the 15th
I am platinum prestige and I now can see the carousel coin on the RCM website. Quite unique and one per household. This may be a commissioned coin. I don't know.
I got an email this morning saying that my 'back-order' has essentially been cancelled, and in fact some of the orders placed with the rep will also have to be cancelled. Having said that, Like NEW1954 indicated some of the coins were put on the website for 'Platinuum Prestige' level, and you can place a web-order if you are in that tier.
I did, and I have gone from 'missing the pre-sale' to being confirmed with a web order. PS, there is a picture, and I'm not quite sure how much I like it. It comes on a wood platform, and appears that the Carousel sticks up about 1 to 2 inches above the surface of the coin. But for the rules, I'd copy and paste a picture. Better than I expected.
