Hey all,

As the (only) Canadian moderator here, let me welcome the recent influx of members from the former Canadian Paper Money Forum.

All Canadian banknote-related material (e.g., chartered bank notes, various scrip, Bank of Canada, etc.) with all their varieties and bank note errors, now has a new home here.

Please note, however, we have another sub-forum for the "exonumia" of notes, namely checks, stocks and bond certificates, I would welcome you all to check it out.

Bear in mind that all CCF rules apply in this forum - our goal is to remain a family-friend site.

All the moderators here are volunteers, and Bobby (the forum dad) pays just under $300 a month to run and maintain this site. So if you find this forum a good source of information, please consider being a supporter of CCF.

Now, run off and play nice!!

I think this is great!! I was a member of the paper money forum for over ten years and found the information a great help, I know I'll miss it. I had even moved into the top 20 contributors to the serial number date base.
I hope that many more of the members from CPMF find a home here, they have so much knowledge and I think they all want to share it but the CPMF was not so much a chat room as here.
Welcome to all and thanks to those for this addition.

Cheers, Bill

I had heard that the Canadian Paper Money Forum might shut down if a new admin wasn't found and I'm sad to learn that appears to be the case. I will say that CCF seems be be more open to new members. The CPMF had an antiquated restriction that members needed a non-webmail email address in order to join, which shut out people like me with only Outlook and/or Gmail accounts. No such restriction here. Welcome one and all!

Thanks everyone for the warm welcomes and it's great that we have a new place to call home.

I hope I can personally contribute to the forum and maybe even get some of you coin collectors to cross over :) or atleast take a peek at what we talk about.

I know that there are already a few members here that I know and hopefully we continue to grow.

I also would like to stress that all questions are welcome as that is the way I learnt and continue to learn new things about the hobby and hopefully others can learn as well..

For those of you who may not know the CPMF
Has been resurrected
That being said I hope any new member
Here realizes the efforts moderators made
Here to make us (Canadian Paper Money Collectors)
Feel at home
They gave us a separate forum to discuss
Our interests in CDN paper money
And gave us a home when we lost ours
I hope you all stay and still
Be part of this forum to educate learn and keep
New and old collectors interested in the hobby
I hope you don't jump ship just because
You have a place to go back to
Since becoming part of this forum I have
Felt that I can personally contribute and help answer
Questions and I hope this continues
