Hi guys I have a 1945 Wheat penny. There's a hole in the middle that's not all the way through. I know you'll probably say it's PSD but the thing is with this coin. It's not affecting the other side at all. So it hasn't been struck or squeezed . Anyway take a look and give me your opinion please. Thank you I'm advance.

Looks like someone decided to drill a hole in it and stopped short.

Btw. Welcome to the Forum!

Thanks for welcoming me to the forum guys. Umm I don't know if it was drilled it's not completely circular , it's misshaped.

When drilling into an uneven surface the drill bit will bounce and travel. The hole being slightly irregular isn't surprising.

I agree with chafemasterj. Someone was drilling it and then stopped.

I'm totally new so I have to take your opinions. Going to file this one as drilled.
