The 1970-S kicked my butt for a while telling them apart. The low 7 does it for me now. Crazyb0's visual is a fantastic reference.

Large Date. You can tell by looking at the "0" in "1970". On a Small Date, the 0 is perfectly aligned with the date. On the Large Date, the 0 is not perfectly aligned with the date. The 0 is moved up a little bit.
