Showing a bit of leg for those who like that sort of thing !  Stock certificates are not normally risque. With modern high quality color copying techniques, the need to educate oneself on how to identify fakes of the more valuable stock certificates will become increasingly essential. That is why I never went into very old pre 1900 Australian States stamps. Fascinating history, but I don't know enough to be tempted.

To be honest, in 35+ years of collecting I have never seen a counterfeit stock or bond. Now sometimes you'll see reprints, but they are always marketed as such, because honestly it's very easy to spot a color copy compared to a genuine piece.
