I notice I'm the author of most of the recent topics here. I'd love to see more participation from other members -- so I'm hoping maybe this one will make that easier.

There are lots of stock and bond from companies with products that *everybody* knows. I'll start with some from my collection but feel free to add anything you have.

Let's start with some liquid refreshment. Welch's Grape Juice, Pepsi Cola, Royal Crown Cola (RC might be more recognizable down South), and Falstaff Beer. I'm not sure Falstaff is still around, but it was a standard brand at least until the 1980s.

Those are really cool. I don't own any of the old certificates but I will certainly enjoy following the thread.

Showing a bit of leg for those who like that sort of thing !
Stock certificates are not normally risque.

With modern high quality color copying techniques, the need to educate oneself on how to identify fakes of the more valuable stock certificates will become increasingly essential.

That is why I never went into very old pre 1900 Australian States stamps. Fascinating history, but I don't know enough to be tempted.

There are a few. But I digress.

To be honest, in 35+ years of collecting I have never seen a counterfeit stock or bond. Now sometimes you'll see reprints, but they are always marketed as such, because honestly it's very easy to spot a color copy compared to a genuine piece.

I did not even notice. My eyes went right for the Pepsi bottle.

Yes, I am a self admitted Pepsi fanboy. Earle would have got it.

Very interesting. That little boy for Mattel looks out of place because of the different drawing styles.
