Looking for any and all input on this 2000 D Jefferson nickle, many issues, die crack through first window on left?, also through top of C in Cent ? All opinions welcome
Nope. It's not a error coin. It's just Post Strike Damage (happened after it left the U.S. Mint). Now it's a cull coin and has lost all of its numismatic value. Worth face value.
Not that I'm aware of. The "spear" was a gouge in the die that created those coins, so it was limited to that die, as far as I know, and was a contained event. The proofs (S-mint) are minted from special dies and the minting process is more controlled, as well.
