Please let me know what you think of this. There isn't this silver color on the reverse, on only the obverse. Also, the the rim is fatter in the area of the defect. Can you help.

The coins was struck on a damaged planchet. Part of the rim was shaved off before the coin was struck.

Very nice find! It was struck on a damaged Planchet as still lookin said. Congratulations on the find! Make sure to put it in a 2x2 coin flip for protection and label it.

I sold one a few weeks back for $15 but it had damage almost around the whole rim. I would not think yours would sell any higher. I guess it depends on how much money someone had and how much they wanted the coin.
