Whoa, I saw you mention that but now I see it. If that was a die clash , how is that even possible there? I'll have to check the coin again when I get home from work.

Yes, I would check it out under some higher magnification to determine the cause. Not sure how it got there but its a really cool find!

Take a close look at any UNC 2000 - the slash and bottom part of your 2 is minted into the coin. The top part is probably just a nick into it causing the appearance of a 2. What is that word that means your brain sees something that really isn't there? I just read it in somebodies signature line yesterday!

Yep that's the word. Some wacky lighting effect must've caused that. Under 25x , there is definitely no 2 or part of a 2 in Abe's beard lol.

I was noting the very clear edges near the rim areas. An earlier die state coin. To me, they command attention. No die distractions. I noticed it more on my computer. On my tablet it is hardly noticeable. But I didn't enlarge it there.

Here we are looking for 2's lol. Yes after reading your thread on die states it appears to be just that. In hand, all the devices & edges are very sharp & crisp. Thanks boss

Not on mine, but I've seen it on someone's signature line too.
