Got this 1995 LMC DDO from the same box as 3 other DDO's. I am going to give this one a good acetone soak and try to remove the discoloration.

Very nice find! Wow, you've been finding awesome stuff lately! Did this come from a bank box of U.S. Pennies from your bank?

Yes, it's a mess, but it's still a very nice find from circulation.

Great find..!

I wish you good luck on the stain removal.. I'm in the midst of trying to remove with acetone some stains and other stuff off a roll of unc '73-D cent and having no success at all.. I'm pretty sure with one group now that what I thought was verdigris is in actuality chemical alteration.. If so, it isn't going away no matter how long I soak 'em..

This roll is probably the worst case of multiple ED I've ever seen as it's turning out, and that just happens sometimes..

Yea this $25 box was from a bank located about 30 miles from my home. I found 4 DDO's 4 DDR's 4 RPM's and a total of 12 Wheaties, all in this one box.
I try to get a box from them about every 2 weeks. This bank seems to always be pretty lucky for me. Several months ago I got a box and found 30 Wheaties.

Be very careful with the acetone soak; possible to add to your discoloration. Consider leaving it alone and treat it with VerdiCare prior to sealing it up in an air-tite.

Once I got a whole box of wheaties
You should go to that bank ASAP and get as many as they will sell you. Just so you know, you should not dump at the same bank you buy from.

How does acetone not harm the penny? Don't know much about it in this situation?

If you soak zincolns too long, you can discolor the coin (different light sources may exacerbate). You just need to keep an eye on it while doing the soak. I've not noticed any issues soaking copper cents.
