I thought I found this one before, but when you see the real thing and how obvious this variety is, I can't believe I ever thought another coin might of been this DDO. It's pretty beat up, but it's so cool to find one from a roll you got from the bank for just fifty cents!

Very nice find and congratulations! These are very rare to find! If you look at my profile picture, that's the same 1984 "Doubled Ear" DDO that I've found last year. I would recommend an Acetone soak. It will not harm the coin. Make sure to use 100 percent pure Acetone only. Leave you coin in there for 3 to 4 hours.

You're very welcome. You should try doing an Acetone soak for 3 to 4 hours. It will help and your coin will look much better. I've done this to my example and it looks great now. Here's my thread from last year. Look at what my coin used to look like before its Acetone bath. The after results are amazing and it cleaned up nicely. http://goccf.com/t/291630&whichpage=2
