Being new to coin collecting I don't know what is with this coin but I do know something is in error. Would welcome some knowledge.

I can't tell, pics are too blurry.

I can't tell if it is a stain, damage, or strike through.

The OP posted in the wrong topic with her post. Here it is:

Sorry the front of the coin is so bad that it is hard to get a real clear picture. Everything around Washington's head has circles around it and from his cheek over to the right it kind of appears as if it is some of the images from the back of the coin. I am still tryin to get a better picture of the front. I wil post it when. Thank you!

It most likely is post mint damage, but better pics are needed.

to the CCF!

Welcome! Might it be clear glue? Soak in acetone to remove it.

Looks like glue got stuck on the coin. This is not an error, but rather Post Strike Damage (happened after it left the U.S. Mint).

Hopefully I am replying correctly. I also hope these pictures are clearer for you all to get a good look at. There is no glue on the coin--I tried that. The grooves are inbedded into the coin. Your opinions are much appreciated!
