I know nothing on how to pick modern re strikes from modern reproductions in this series.

Weight given diameter given, but no thickness.
This make me think that is silver plated, over copper core, where the thickness is increased slightly to compensate for a less dense than silver, copper core.

The fact that these can be bought in bulk also helps to support my thoughts in this direction.

My gut feeling says:
'Stay well away from this, even it it is only a modern reproduction.'

Thaler of the Holy Roman Empire *,
(based on Austria-Hungary)

* HRE: My high school history teacher remarked that the HRE was neither 'holy' nor 'Roman'.
