I have this quarter that is thin the back edge seems high and almost none on front. Is this something to look for?

It looks normal to me except for a slightly misaligned die affecting the obverse, producing an uneven rim thickness.

The reeding is the grooves on the edge of the coin. The pictures you sent are pretty blurry. Is the edge normal or blunted-worn down?

The reason we are asking is that the most common cause of high rims on coins is what is referred to as a Dryer Coin. Yours might be a very early stage example.
