I've had this penny for years. I'm wondering if this is an error? Any input is appreciated.

Something BIG gouged a chunk out of the coin and moved metal (pushed) across its surface. You have a damaged Lincoln Cent.
Rest in Peace

I can see why you would ask, but it is just damage.

Thanks afewmorecents, I suppose that there is no other damage and what looks like a drop of copper is what threw me. I'm not a collector so am not aware of all the different things that can affect a coins appearance. Thanks

It's Post Strike Damage (happened after it left the U.S. Mint), since you can see the pushed over and flattened metal.
Errers and Varietys.
