Possible 1940's Penny Error Coin ...

etdobbs New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 06/21/2018 10:47 am I recently came across a 1940's Wheat penny that is missing the final digit in the year. It only has "194" indicating the year. There does not appear to be any significant markings that would indicate physical removal of this digit. I have done a search for error coins and cannot find anything similar. Pictures are attached. Has anyone seen something like this before? Any thoughts? Report this Post to the Staff
