Extremely Rare Adolf Hitler SA Brownshirt Party Member Silver Medal. Reference number is Colbert-30. Issued after the election of the NSDAP in 1933. Minted in Bavaria and Prussia at 0.900 Ag purity. Very few examples have survived post WWII. (This post is not meant to glorify any political regime or ideology. This is simply a reference to a historical event through numismatics)   Edited by JGG

I'm sure that this is not a Nazi party membership medal but rather a fund raising medal. During the Weimar Republic German mints accepted orders to design and strike medals for various causes in order to sell the medals to the public to raise funds. The most common of these were the 1927 Hindenburg medals. All medals of this type had the mint name spelled out on the edges.

A few examples of this coin were struck in gold. They are almost impossible to find since there was very little gold available during the Weimar hyperinflation, and I have never seen one.

Now strictly a numismatic item, and a rare and interesting one as well.
Peter the Great of Russia was one of the most cruel torturers that history has ever produced, and yet we collect his coins with much enthusiasm.

True sel_69l but all of the people he affected are dead now, where as Adolf Hilter affect people who are still alive today. It is people choice what they chose to collect, still nice coin.

All of history affects us to this day. Peter the Great encouraged the Westernization of the Russian monarchy which was brutally overthrown by the communists eventually and led to Stalin's purge. Numismatics have always preserved history in the moment.
For me, coins have always been an apolitical way of examining and preserving history.

I would think the truly unredeemable would not want to be on a coin.
Ever see a bank CEO or chairperson on a coin?
Or the financial wizards that pioneered naked short selling, LBO's, modern monetary theory (MMT),or currency hedged synthetic triple-insured abstract derivative reverse inverse adjustable 10 year T-Bill rate correlated diversified long option contracts with an early out divorce clause?
Me neither.
