Very nice coin and congratulations! I think it looks a lot better with the conservation than it did before.

I actually agree with John . Fields are chuck full of scratches and chatter not seen on the original coin . I would say you had luck on your side for a 10x profit flip .

I wonder what PCGS would label it now if you sent it in? John1

Good eye, and good knowledge of the market. If that Topps pack is something you bought back when it was issued, I bet you'll net an even higher percentage on it!

I prefer the pre-conservation version. It has character IMO. But the market is always right, right?

Chris, what's your conservation process? I like the after look myself. Nice job!

Not sure how to reply to specific posts on here, but I'm kinda curious about which conservation process you used as well. Not too shabby.

I agree with the not so hot. I see those field scratches WAAAYYY too much and bet it gets an AU-55 Details, cleaned on resubmit. Yeah, people lose their nut(scrat) on DMPL lady's, but real world value 100 years from now may just whack it as cleaned.

I agree that the coin looked better before it was cleaned.

"Before" is better, I agree. Good for the OP that someone bought it for a profit, but they're likely to regret it later.

I bought a Morgan that looked like it may have been in a fire. It has some black on it but also has a great rainbow toning to it, and I'm glad I got it before the lady behind the counter got around to cleaning it. Even if it might not be a truly toned coin, I just love the look of it.
