I picked these up(a few) when they first came out last year, and look on APMEX website and they initially sold for $45(USD). They are now over $120(USD)

Other Queens Beasts 2oz coins are relatively right where they were prices a year ago. Maybe the Griffin are more collectable?

Any ideas?

I don't know about them, but those pics are useless (pixelated) and the title needs to be spell-checked.

Sorry about that. I just borrowed the pictures from the website I bought them from ( APMEX) there are better quality pictures at their website, but I will try and post better pics in the future.

Also thanks for your help with the title, but I'm trying to follow the guidelines and be specific as possible with titles. Is there something better I could have worded?

Thanks for your replies!

It's nice to see some value increase on recent coinage. Unfortunately, that issue is the exception, rather than the rule.

Yeah I have one of each and noticed the increased prices for the Griffin. I haven't seen any as high as you mentioned, mostly in the 60-75 dollar range. Wish I had a few more but at least I know my one that I have is worth more should I sell (at least for now). No idea why though.

I don't understand... $120 for 2oz Yes, this is a good looking coin but it is bullion; there is a proof version if you want the high priced fancy version. Unless you are collecting a type set vs. just accumulating silver the 10oz version sitting beside it on the order page for only $190 is a much more appealing option.

I enjoy Silver Bullion, it is affordable and the mints are investing so much more effort these days in attractive coins but when you get beyond 2x spot price, something is out of whack and the bullion releases are verging into NCLT territory.

Most LCS or bullion dealers will offer their spot buy price regardless of what was paid initially. Unless Silver has a massive market price shift, there will be no ROI and the cost will never be recovered.

My concern is that if the mints see folks willing to pay 2x or 3x or more over the spot price, then the issues will be released with this premium.

This is the challenge facing many NCLT collectors... It is depressing to see it come to Bullion.
