Hi All,
I became interested in coins at about 19, so a little over *cough* 20 years ago. I bought several coins, then boxed them up and stuck them in the closet. Since then, I have bought several State Quarters slabbed by PCGS and added to the box but that's been it. Now I am interested in pursing the hobby and am not sure where to begin. I have Dansco albums for Kennedys and Mercs and am thinking of working on filling them. I love Morgans but would rather make rookie mistakes with something a little less expensive in the beginning.
Anyway, great to meet you all. I look forward to learning from the experts!

Welcome back! I too started as a teen 20ish years ago.

I hear you on looking to keep your "mistakes" cost effective. Best of luck.

I've never been able to make up my mind in a particular series, so if you end up with a little bit of everything, enjoy the ride.

I learned a big lesson when I first started collecting- do not sign up for monthly mail clubs. I spent way too much buying coins from the Littleton Coin Co. I had subscribed to Coin World and realized the prices sometimes listed were much lower for coins of the same grades.

I like to think I'm a little wiser now, but I still get distracted by the 'shiny' stuff..
