Can Anyone Identify The Date On My Shield Nickel

Suspect last digit is a 9 or possibly an 8...3rd digit is a pushed over 6. The 1868 issue was a very common date coin. I suppose it may be a closed loop 1873, but it seems a damaged 3rd digit Report this Post to the Staff

The no rays coins came from three different reverse hub designs one used in 67 and 68, one used only in 68, and one used for the rest of the series. Report this Post to the Staff
