Here is a 1850 One Half Penny, Bank Token, from the Bank of Upper Canada... Kinda of neat I thought. It has a dent in the middle on one side of the coin. ALso, in "Bank Of Upper Canada, the B, O, and C seem to be worn down? Weird how it is just those. Can anyone give me information, including value on this? Thanks! Jordan
The value from a 2002 reference book is $5.00 - $10.00. The coins dated 1850 were struck at The Royal Mint in 1851 abd did not reach Canada until 1852. The obverse is the St. George and the dragon motif and the reverse shows the then obsolete arms of Upper Canada.
