Somewhere I read that if the mint mark is to close to date possible error or is this more deterioration

The mintmark placement can vary because, up until 1990, it was added to the die by hand.

The only coin that has any extra value because of mintmark placement is the 1975-D Jefferson nickel misplaced mintmark, since the mintmark was positioned much higher than normal, touching the 5 in the date.

This is a normal coin. I see nothing wrong with the MM.
