Finally got it back today from ICCS, and was more than happy to get an F-12 grade (thot it was VG-8).

Only 3 other known certified 1858 coinage orientation.
One too poor to grade; one EF but corroded, one EF and sold at auction.

So this makes this one RARE, the same way I like my steaks.

Very nice, thanks for sharing.

I am absolutely in love. Is there a book value for this variety?

JimmyD that seems a bit low seeing as there is only 3 other cetified?

Sorry I took a decade off from collecting so I'm getting back into things a bit more seriously. I figure since a regular 1858 in that grade sells for 15x less than the scarcer 3 certified one.

Just going by the Charlton Catalogue.
Also that is only what ICCS have graded.
There may be (although I haven't bothered checking)
others graded by other TPG's and possibly some
that haven't been graded.
CoinsandCanada has it listed at $1750.00 but they
are usually higher than book.
