I tried to log in yesterday evening and it keeps telling me my log in is invalid. I tried today and got the same result. I have tried typing in my log in info several time to no avail. I have even tried to send a change password link and it told me my email address was invalid. I have used this account for ebay for years with no problem.

I have received no emails from ebay saying my account was shut down. Come to think of it I haven't received any emails from ebay since Tuesday of this week. Yes I checked.

Has anyone else had this problem? Has my account been hacked?

Thanks for any advice...Mont.

If it's telling you the email address is invalid, something is wrong. Sounds like you need to contact them.

I did. My account was hacked. They changed the email account info and personal phone number. They left the shipping address info alone though. Why would they not change this info as well?

Good that you got it resolved. Strange they didn't completely hijack the account, though.

You did change the password to something else, to hopefully prevent it from happening again, right? And maybe check your account/change your passwords on other services as well, to make sure this wasn't an isolated event.

I would watch out for other credit activities also, no joke that it happen to me years ago, hacker was trying to borrow money through few credit union using my info, one of the credit union called me regarding if I was trying to apply for lump sum of money going to another account.

We lived in a dangerous society, so I check my daily credit activities, use hard to guess passwords and two way authentications.

Probably wasn't relevant to their plans for scam selling
