1988 Lincoln Memorial Cent / LMC Die "waterfalls" From The Rim (Lamination Error?)

sosicoin Valued Member United States 393 Posts	Posted 07/15/2018 03:10 am .Hi, everyone. I saw a CCF post discussing a flared FG RDV-006. I tried looking at my sorted "wild" 1988 LMCs. I wasn't successful in finding RDV-006. This carbon afflicted coin is what I found. I can see excessive die abrasions, die chip south of building's right lowerncorner, Struck Through Grease...what kind of die issue is occuring from the rim (360 degrees of reverse) towards the devices? In my layman's term, I call it "waterfalls" or a caramel strawberry fountain. The experts have the right term. Does this type of coin signal the retirement of working dies? Thanks in advance.
